When Greenpoint resident and new mom Lisa Wright found her home overrun with clothes that her child had outgrown—and some that she had never even worn—Tallulah’s Closet was born. Named for Wright’s 15-month-old daughter, the latest addition to Brooklyn’s ever-growing list of consignment shops (Park Slope’s LuLu's Then and Now and Clinton Hill’s Still Hip among them) specializes in clothing and shoes for infants and toddlers from designers like Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Christian Dior and Jacadi. Pint-size patrons will feel right at home playing with the shop’s toys and books, while their parents browse—the space’s light blue decor and cherrywood accents are reminiscent of a child’s bedroom.
