After taking the Bay Area by storm with Sprout San Francisco, a children's boutique featuring cherry-picked natural and organic wares, New York City native and mom Suzanne Price is opening a second location on the Upper East Side. In addition to a slew of clothes, toys, baby gear and furniture from brands like Apple Park, OXO, Oeuf, Newport Cottages and Bink Link, the shop will be hosting weekly classes (Mommy and Me Pilates by Kinected, Rockin with Andy music classes and more) for new parents and their offspring. There will also be a scale for moms and dads to weigh their babies on in between pediatrician visits. Our favorite feature, though, might just be the adorable in-store play space. Decorated with a white picket fence and a Central Park–themed mural, the spot is full of wooden toys for little ones to play with. To celebrate its new location, the store is hosting a on Saturday, September 24, from 10am to 4:30pm; expect face painting, an appearance by clowns Sammie and Tudie, giveaways, free organic snacks and more. Sprout San Francisco, 1375 Third Ave between 78th and 79th Sts (212-861-0670, sproutsanfrancisco.com).
