Meet the experts

Nate Berkus (NB)
A decor aficionado, New York Times best-selling author and host of The Nate Berkus Show, the Chelsea resident tapes his everyday-design show in New York City and has a sophisticated line of furnishings and home accessories on the Home Shopping Network.

Erica Ecker (EE)
Ecker—or, as she's more commonly known, the Spacialist (thespacialist.com)—has 12 years of experience as a professional organizer under her belt. She has brought order to literally hundreds of New York City kids' clutter-filled rooms and play spaces.

Jamie Grayson (JG)
A longtime personal shopper at Buy Buy Baby, the infant-gear guru turned his years of product testing into a baby planning business called the Baby Guy NYC (thebabyguynyc.com). He advises parents on everything from how to assemble a crib to which breastfeeding pillows work best.

Genevieve Gorder (GG)
HGTV Design Star judge and host of the network's Dear Genevieve, the Chelsea-based mom of three-year-old daughter Bebelle has partnered with Springmaid Wamsutta on a new bedding line. She has appeared on Oprah, The View and The Today Show.

Robert and Cortney Novogratz (RN & CN)
The husband-and-wife team behind Sixx Design starred with their seven children—Wolfgang, 13, twins Bellamy and Tallulah, 12, Breaker, 10, twins Five and Holleder, 5, and Major, 2—on the Bravo reality show 9 By Design. They're currently filming a new series.

David Rockwell (DR)
Founder and CEO of NYC-based architecture and design firm the Rockwell Group, the Tribeca resident and father of two (Sam, 11, and Lola, 8) is the man responsible for Imagination Playground. He just launched a line of indoor-outdoor foam blocks, based on IP's play sets.

Vern Yip (VY)
The father of one-year-old son Gavin, current HGTV Design Star judge, and veteran of TLC's Trading Spaces and NBC's Home Intervention splits his time between New York City and Atlanta, where his architecture and design firm is based.
