ABC designs customized language programs based around children’s interests and schedules. Looking for group Cantonese lessons in the a.m.? Done. One-on-one Dutch after school? Sure. Berlitz Language Learning

Bilingual Buds
As China now boasts the second largest economy in the world, kids who become fluent in Mandarin may have an upper hand. Carousel of Languages
Weekly one-hour sessions (for kids as young as 6 months) or after-school classes (for elementary and middle-schoolers) are dedicated to the use of visual, verbal and tactile learning exercises designed to foster imagination. El Taller
The instructors at El Taller are not only native Spanish speakers but also professional artists and musicians. French Institute : Alliance Française
If you're after the language de l’amour, look no further than FI:AF—a full-immersion school that ties its exploration of the language to French art and culture. 22 E 60th St between Madison and Park Aves (646-388-6612, fiaf.org). Fall session starts Sept 26. Eleven classes $435. Ages 2 to 5. 

Lango
Future linguists take full-immersion classes in Mandarin, French or Spanish, enhanced by music, games and interactive storytime. Scheduling done on a class-by-class basis. The Language Workshop for Children
This spot teaches kids new languages through word games, silly songs and peer interaction. Little Language Playhouse
One-hour classes are conducted exclusively in Italian and emphasize the importance of “multisensory” foreign-language learning (think music, puppets and educational play). The Mandarin Treehouse
Formed in 2004 by a group of moms, this playgroup teaches the basics of Mandarin and exposes youngsters to an all-encompassing view of Chinese culture. Musical Kids International
