Halloween costume contest 2011
Submit photos of your kids' Halloween costume for a chance to win tickets to see Traces at the Union Square Theater. In the meantime, check out a slideshow of our entries thus far!
Here at Time Out Kids, we love Halloween. And we especially love the cute costumes city kids don at events around the five boroughs at this time of year. In honor of the holiday, we're looking for the best costume of all. Send us a photo of your child decked out in his or her Halloween getup for a chance to win a family four-pack of tickets to see Traces. The show, which plays at the Union Square Theater, is a high-energy mix of acrobatics and street performance.
To enter, e-mail photos to kidsphotocontest@timeoutny.com along with your child's first name, age, neighborhood and a brief description of the costume. Check back the week of November 7, when we'll announce the name of the winner!
CONTEST RULES: One entry per person. A panel of Time Out Kids judges will pick the top five costumes; readers will then vote on our website, timeoutnewyorkkids.com, for the winner. These competitions are open to any tristate-area resident except employees of Time Out Kids and sponsoring organizations, their agents or anyone directly connected to these promotions. No purchase required for this promotion. Contest valid through Thursday, November 3, 2011. Parent of winner must be 18 years of age or older unless otherwise stated. Prizes are as described above; no cash alternatives will be given. Prizes may not be sold, traded, transferred or refunded. Any and all federal, state and local taxes are the responsibility of the winner. Travel is based upon availability, and blackout dates may apply. If for any reason winners are unable to use prizes within the time specified, the participating organizations are not responsible for providing replacement prizes. No makeup goods will be given in the event of a canceled or rescheduled event. Prize: (1) Family four-pack of tickets to Traces. Value: $316
