BEHIND THE MUSIC This alt-rock duo had to give up their former sobriquet, the Quiet Ones, after another band turned out to have prior claim to it. But their indie approach and comic sensibilities still serve the same purpose: “Our mission statement was to do kids’ music that wouldn’t drive grown-ups bonkers,” proclaims Ure. “Nobody likes being told what to do, especially when it’s posing as entertainment.”

SIX DEGREES OF AUDRA After meeting Tsanos in an Aardvarks class, Ure wound up producing AudraRox’s debut CD. His older daughter, Cecily, then 3, even helped the father of two rhyme the words broccoli and properly in a lyric for Audra’s song “Pro-cras-tin-a-ting.”
