Radio

Prick up your ears

In the past year, millions of Americans (okay, mostly Howard Stern fans) have agreed to shell out around $13 a month to tune in to satellite-radio providers like XM Radio. But aside from potty-mouthed Stern (on Sirius Radio), you can find a lot of diverting stuff for the junior set–even classic radio shows, like The Lone Ranger and Superman, that will likely win over kids who think radio is for old fogies. Says Kid Kelly, senior director of programming at Sirius Radio, “Our programs are targeted to parents who are tired of showing their kids the same old videos and want to engage them with music.”Keith Mulvihill
