The Aquabats Super Show!

1. Small Potatoes
The newest creation from NYC-based Little Airplane Productions (the geniuses behind Wonder Pets and Oobi), Small Potatoes is an adorably quirky animated show starring a quartet of singing potatoes. Yes, potatoes—as in small, brown, starchy vegetables. But wait until you hear them sing: They do rap and rock, written by the likes of legendary Broadway composer Jerry Bock. Disney Junior; premieres Sept 6, check local listings for time. Ages 2 to 5.

2. Green Lantern: The Animated Series
Can Hal Jordan make a bigger splash on TV than he did on the big screen? This CG-animated series is set in the far reaches of deep space, where Hal and his Green Lantern Corps take on the evil Red Lantern gang. Sorry, moms: Ryan Reynolds will not be flashing his abs. Cartoon Network; check local listings for date and time. Ages 6 to 11.

3. Secret Millionaires Club
Billionaire investor Warren Buffet provides the voice of “Warren Buffet” in four half-hour animated specials, in which he gives business tips to a group of scrappy kids. Young viewers learn the most valuable investment they can make is in themselves; parents will tune in for whatever stock tips they can catch. The Hub; premieres Oct 23, check local listings for time. Ages 6 to 11.

4. The Aquabats Super Show!
Meet the Aquabats: five Spandex-wearing dudes who sing about the fight between good and evil (the show is based on a real-life New Wave band that’s been on the scene since 1994). Expect a mix of concert footage, live action and animation that looks like a G-rated version of SNL’s “TV Funhouse.” The Hub; premieres Oct 22 at 7pm. Ages 6 to 11.

5. Jessie
Hoping to launch the next Miley-, Miranda- or Selena-esque star, Disney has plucked Debby Ryan from The Suite Life on Deck and built a new tween series around her spunky Southern charm. Ryan plays Jessie, a Texas girl who moves to New York City to work as a nanny for a wealthy couple with a multiethnic array of kids. Disney Channel; premieres Sept 30 at 9pm. Ages 6 to 14.
