On Saturday, October 17, Time Out Kids will partner with the fabulous folks at the Madison Square Park Conservancy for our second annual Fall Kids Fest from 10:30am to 1:30pm. Rain or shine, come celebrate our October issue's Halloween theme with a host of holiday fun including pumpkin picking and decorating, a costume parade led by clowns from the Big Apple Circus and other free activities throughout the park, representing each section of the magazine, including:

EAT
Snack on organic eats from Clif Kid, then stop by the cotton candy and popcorn stand.

SHOPPING
Participate in our Halloween costume swap. Bring at least one clean, intact costume, labeled by size, to trade for something "new."

ART & MUSEUMS
Get your face painted by Vital Children's Theater, make spooky bat and ghost arts and crafts with the Madison Square Park Conservancy, and enjoy interactive programs with apple seeds, Gate Hill Day Camp and the Rubin Museum of Art.

BOOKS
Hear spooky stories with Michael Rex, author of The Runaway Mummy and Cambria Evans, author of Bone Soup. And, learn how to make tasty Halloween treats with Sharon Bowers, author of Ghoulish Goodies.

FILM
Enjoy special giveaways and raffle prizes from Where the Wild Things Are.

MUSIC
Jam with AudraRox at 11am, Bubble Do Beatles at 1pm and hear apple seeds' songs for seeds band every hour beginning at 10:30am.

STAGE
See highlights from some of Vital Children's Theater's greatest hits at noon.

TIME IN
Watch a pumpkin carving demonstration.

SPONSORS
Caregivers can look forward to the Huggies Baby Changing Station, two secure stroller-parking areas provided by Maclaren, and apple seeds and Momslikeme.com will have informational tables. New York Life Insurance is also a sponsor.

In addition to all of the Halloween fun, be sure to take note of the fabulous fall foliage. Madison Square Park has an abundance of colorful leaves. Print out this handy guide so your budding botanist can identify them all!
