Pink Olive launches concierge services
Grace Kang, the owner of city shop Pink Olive, wants to make gift buying as easy as possible. That's why she recently launched a concierge service. At pinkolive.com, customers can click on the "concierge" button and fill out a short questionnaire about the child they're buying a present for (questions include "Is the gift for a boy or a girl?" and "Do they have any special hobbies?"). Kang, a former buyer for Bloomingdales, saks.com and Barneys New York, will then comb her store's merchandise—baby gear and accessories, toys, children's books and more–to find the product that best fits the requirements. For busy parents, it doesn't get much easier than this.
