Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! tour dates announced

If you were bummed because you missed the Yo Gabba Gabba! gang when they hit the Beacon Theatre last fall, time to turn your frown upside-down, just like Brobee. DJ Lance Rock and his pals are once again touring the U.S., and they hit Radio City for five performances the weekend of October 2-3. Tickets to the NYC shows go on sale June 4, so mark both sets of dates in your book, iPhone, whatever. My four-year-old daughter and I were lucky enough to catch YGG! Live last November, and it really felt like we were in the church of kiddie camp. The audience donned DJ Lance-like glasses (handed out at the door, of course), and when the series' stars came out, everyone, regardless of age, screamed as if it were the second coming of the Beatles. Guest performers included ’90s alt gods Dinosaur Jr. (guitarist J Mascis actually sat in our row with his adorable toddler, Rory), rapper Biz Markie and Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC fame. No word yet on who the special guests will be this time around. Here’s hoping newly unemployed Sarah Silverman (who's appeared on the show) will make the cut!
